"Here?" Caleb was a little surprised. His own feelings for Essek had bloomed much sooner as they worked on the spell to restore Veth together. Essek gained nothing but knowledge when they worked on that spell. It didn't benefit him and yet he had worked just as diligently with him. How could he not love this man after that?

"I would not, uh, call this the most romantic atmosphere," he teased gently as he nuzzled at Essek's jaw because he could not stop touching.

He expected there would be a story and Caleb would listen as long as he was allowed to keep his hands roaming Essek's body and kissing whatever skin he could reach with his mouth.
